What does the star sometimes depicted inside an ouroboros mean?

What does the star sometimes depicted inside an ouroboros mean?

Does it make any difference in the meaning at all?|||It depends upon the star.

If its the "Six Pointed Star" or hexagram, it could be referring to the universe

If it is a five pointed star or pentagram, it could represent the unity of five elements

Five pointed star could also represent the microcosm of the universe, which are humans

Now, is the star inside the snake?

or is the snake encircling the star?

If the star is inside the snake, and the snake is in a circle it could mean the flow of the universe towards a direction.

If the star is encircled by the snake, it would symbolize the eternal "depth" of the universe

If the star is a hexagram, then is surrounded by the snake then a genuine practitioner of magic stands in the middle of it and knows what to do, most likely the microcosmic human could establish direct connection towards the macro cosmic universe. This would grant absolute authority over "beings" which would take too long to explain here. =]
