What is the name of the star in our galaxy that is most likely to undergo a supernova explosion next?

Stephen Hawking, in his book "A briefer history of time" mentions a star that seems to be the most likely candidate to undergo supernova explosion next within our galaxy..

Does anyone remember the name of this star? And, is it possible to see this star in an amateur sized telescope?|||It is impossible to predict a supernova, but there are several stars that are believed may go Supernova at some point with the next millennium. They include:

Betelgeuse

VY Canis Majoris

Eta Carinae

RS Ophiuchi

IK Pegasi

V4555 Puppis|||Although I'm not familiar with this work by Hawking, I can say that Betelgeuse is the star that most people think about going supernova in the very near future (not to say there aren't other candidates).|||Some likely candidates are Eta Carinae, Betelgeuse, VY Canis Majoris, RS Ophiuchi, and Rho Cassiopeia.|||Probably Eta Carinae.

It's visible to the naked eye on a good night.

It's far in the south, however.|||the name of that star is beetlejuice.
