How does a jeweler get the star to show in a purple sapphire cabachon?

I have this loose stone which is a purple star sapphire, I want to take it to a jeweler to have it set in either gold or silver. What is he going to do to get that star to be really visible? I am really interested in how jewelers do their craft.|||the person that makes the 'star' visible is the gemstone cutter. They have to cut and polish the gemstone in the right way. If your loose stone shows the star, all the jeweler has to do is set it into the ring so it is not crooked and shows the star head on.
