If yes, what are the benefits?|||with a sextant, those star clusters can help detrmine where on earth you are. this was known long before geo-syncranis orbit was in our vocabulary.|||I think one of the best benefits you can get from studying star constellations is being able to quickly locate celestial objects, whether they be stars, nebulae, or galaxies, by simply looking for the constellation they are located in. For instance, we know that the center of our own galaxy is located towards the constellation of Sagittarius. The stars move across the sky from east to west so that gives direction.
