What is the largest known star in the universe?

I am sure this question has raised many eyebrows but they have never got around to asking, like me. It would be a great help if you could also compare the largest known star to the size of our Sun.|||The largest known star in the universe is VY Canis Majoris.

Somewhere between 1800 to 2100 of our Sun's size-by-side make the diameter of VY Canis Majoris. Which means somewhere between 5,832,000,000 (5.8 billion) to 9,261,000,000 (9.2 billion) of our Sun's can fit inside VY Canis Majoris.
